Who should read this book

This book is for those who are responsible for solving problems with WebSphere MQ for z/OS systems and application programs.

To use this book, you should be familiar with system programming concepts, z/OS diagnostic procedures, and the structure and function of the WebSphere MQ for z/OS subsystems at your site. You should also be familiar with the other systems used with WebSphere MQ for z/OS at your site, for example, CICS and IMS.

Note:

In this book, the term CICS is used to mean CICS Transaction Server for OS/390 and CICS for MVS/ESA, and the term IMS to mean IMS/ESA, unless otherwise stated.
