Installation wizard Bootstrap port
serverindex.xml BOOTSTRAP_ADDRESS EndPoint_1
Silent installation response file coexistencePanelBean.bootstrapPort
Base WAS, default value 2809
Information center description Modifying port numbers in the serverindex file
Port Base: 2810

Use the connector type and port number parameters of certain commands to identify the bootstrap port number that you specify for the RMI connector address in a coexistence scenario. For example, to use the wsadmin command in a coexistence environment, you can specify either of the following commands

wsadmin.sh -conntype RMI -port portNumber
wsadmin.bat/sh -conntype SOAP -port portNumber

Alternatively, you can update the wsadmin.properties file located in the $WAS_HOME/properties directory to contain the new port values. If you update this file, you do not need to specify the port parameter when using wsadmin.sh.

The SOAP connection type uses the SOAP connector address port number described next.

If you edit the serverindex.xml file, verify that the host name is the valid host name for the machine and not the generic localhost identifier.

Installation wizard SOAP Connector Address
serverindex.xml SOAP_CONNECTOR-ADDRESS EndPoint_2
Silent installation response file coexistencePanelBean.soapConnectorAddress
Base WAS, default value 8880
Information center description Port used for the SOAP connector
Port Base: 8881

Use the connector type and port number parameters of certain commands to identify the port number that you specify for the SOAP connector address in a coexistence scenario. For example, to use the wsadmin command in a coexistence environment, you can specify either of the following commands

wsadmin.sh -conntype RMI -port portNumber
wsadmin.sh -conntype SOAP -port portNumber

Alternatively, you can update the wsadmin.properties file located in the $WAS_HOME/properties directory to contain the new port values. If you update this file, you do not need to specify the port parameter when using wsadmin.sh.

The remote method invocation (RMI) connection type uses the bootstrap port number described previously.

Installation wizard JMS server queued address
serverindex.xml JMSSERVER_QUEUED_ADDRESS EndPoint_4

Installation wizard SAS SSL ServerAuth Address
serverindex.xml SAS_SSL_SERVERAUTH_LISTENER_ADDRESS EndPoint_6
Silent installation response file coexistencePanelBean.sasSSLServerAuthAddr
Base WAS, default value 0; With security, assign your own non-conflicting value
Information center description Configuring inbound transports
Port Base: 0

Assign a coexistence port other than 0, which dynamically takes a free port. You must have a fixed port that clients can use to find the SAS

SSL ServerAuth address. No mechanism exists for clients to use to find a dynamically assigned port.

Installation wizard CSIV2 ServerAuth Listener Address
serverindex.xml CSIV2_SSL_SERVERAUTH_LISTENER_ADDRESS EndPoint_7
Silent installation response file coexistencePanelBean.csivServerAuthListenerAddr
Base WAS, default value 0; With security, assign your own non-conflicting value
Network Deployment, default value 9403 but is not enabled until you enable security
Information center description Configuring inbound transports
Port Base: 0

Assign a coexistence port other than 0, which dynamically takes a free port. You must have a fixed port that clients can use to find the Common Secure Interoperability Specification, Version 2 (CSIv2) ServerAuth listener address. No mechanism exists for clients to use to find a dynamically assigned port.

Installation wizard CSIV2 MultiAuth Listener Address
serverindex.xml CSIV2_SSL_MUTUALAUTH_LISTENER_ADDRESS EndPoint_8
Silent installation response file coexistencePanelBean.csivMultiAuthListenerAddr
Base WAS, default value 0; With security, assign your own non-conflicting value
Network Deployment, default value 9402 but enable security to enable this value
Information center description Configuring inbound transports
Port 0

Assign a coexistence port other than 0, which dynamically takes a free port. You must have a fixed port that clients can use to find the Common Secure Interoperability Specification, Version 2 (CSIv2) MultiAuth listener address. No mechanism exists for clients to use to find a dynamically assigned port.

Installation wizard ORB Listener Port
serverindex.xml Not applicable
Silent installation response file Not applicable - See note.
Base WAS default value Not applicable
Information center description Configuring inbound transports
Base: 9109
ND: 9703

Setting the object request broker (ORB) listener port to a value of 0 or greater causes all object references in the name space to specify their connection to the server and not depend on the location service daemon (LSD) to redirect connections to the server. An ORB_LISTENER_ADDRESS value equal to 0 starts the server on any available port and does not use the LSD. A value greater than 0 starts the server on the specified port and does not use the LSD.

Set the ORB listener port after a silent installation of the Network Deployment product as described in Configuring inbound transports.
