Using the Launchpad to start the installation
- Start the Launchpad in the OS directory on the product CD:
/CDROM/OS/launchpad.shThe Launchpad opens in the language of the machine locale setting.
The appearance of the Launchpad is the same for WAS and for Network Deployment.
- Click Install the product to launch the installation wizard.
If you use the Mozilla browser on a Linux or UNIX system and you do not have the Netscape browser, some links might not work because the Launchpad attempts to call the Netscape browser in the /usr/bin/netscape directory. Try a symbolic link to the Mozilla browser to fix the problem as shown in the following example:
ln -sf /usr/bin/mozilla /usr/bin/netscape
If you still cannot use the Launchpad panel, you can launch the following links directly from your browser:
