Configure connection factories for resource adapters within applications
- Click Applications.
- Click Install New Application.
- Browse to find the appropriate EAR file, which contains an RAR file.
- Click Next.
- Select resource ref mapping to a J2C Connection Factory, then click Next.
- After the application installs, click Applications.
- Select the application just installed.
- Click Connector Modules under Related Items.
- Select an RAR file name on the Connector Modules page.
- Click Resource Adapter under Additional Properties.
- Click J2C Connection Factories under Additional Properties.
- Click New.
- Specify General Properties.
- Select the authentication preference.
- Select aliases for component-managed authentication, container-managed authentication, or both.If none are available, or you want to define a different one, click Apply > J2C Authentication Data Entries under Related Items.
- Click J2C Auth Data Entries under Related Items.
- Click New.
- Specify General Properties.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- Click the J2C connection factory you just created.
- Click Connection Pool under Additional Properties .
- Change any values desired by clicking on the property name.
- Click OK.
- Click Custom Properties under Additional Properties.
- Click any property name to change its value. Note that UserName and Password if present, are overridden by the component-managed authentication alias specified in a previous step.
- Click Save.
