Setting up an authentication alias 

When you install the Confluence connector, an authentication alias is automatically set up on IBM WAS for the superuser to use when managing the Confluence Wiki. However, if your LDAP server requires a bind user, you need to create an alias for the LDAP bind user.

Note: In a network environment, create the alias in the WAS admin console for the dmgr.


Procedure

  1. In the WAS admin console, expand Security, and then select Global Security.

  2. Expand Java Authentication and Authorization Service.

  3. Select J2C authentication data.

  4. Click New.

  5. Enter an alias name, user ID, and password.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Save, then click Save again.

Results

After you have created the authentication alias, you can see it listed similar to the following:
WASServerNode01/ldapbind ldapbind
