Example: Adding custom strings 

The following code shows some examples of the type of custom strings that can be added using the external resource bundle loader.

The strings are contained in resource files that are registered in the LotusConnections-config.xml file, and saved in the <customization_dir>/strings directory that is created at installation time. For more information about this procedure, see Add custom strings for widgets and other specified scenarios.


Example: Adding custom strings to Profiles

The following strings are used to add labels for custom extension attributes in Profiles.

label.vcard.encoding.cp943c=Japanese Encoding
label.welcome=Welcome!


Example: Adding custom strings to the Home page

The following strings are used to rename the Updates, Administration, and Widgets tabs in the Home page.

jsp.homepage.tab.updates = Updates Tab Customized
jsp.homepage.tab.admin = Administration Tab Customized
jsp.homepage.tab.widgets = Widgets Tab Customized


Example: Adding custom strings to Communities

The following strings are used to add labels for a custom widget in Communities.

CURRENT=Current Job Experience
PAST=Past Job Experience
EDUCATION=Education
WEBSITES=websites
SPECIALTIES=Specialties
HONORS=Honors and Awards
INTERESTS=Interests
RECOMMEND_SINGLE=recommendation
RECOMMEND_PLURAL=recommendations
PROFILE=Public Profile
