Define a foreign bus on the News repository server

Create a foreign bus from the News repository server to each of the feature servers. This bus represents the physical bus for each feature server.


You can follow the steps below to create a foreign bus using the WAS admin console. Alternatively, you can use wsadmin to create a foreign bus.

Defining a foreign bus from the News repository server to a feature server allows the News repository bus to address destinations on the feature bus.

When defining a foreign bus, give it the same name as the target bus that it represents.

To define a foreign bus on one of the News repository server...

  1. Log in to the WAS admin console for the News repository server.

  2. Select...

      Service Integration | Buses | news_service_bus | Topology | Foreign Buses | New

  3. Enter the name of the foreign bus.

  4. Leave the remaining options unchanged and click Next.

  5. Click Next again.

  6. Enter user ID defined for the connectionsAdmin alias in the Inbound user ID and Outbound user ID fields and click Next.

  7. Click Finish.

  8. Save your changes to the master configuration.
