To achieve minimal SSL connectivity, the product provides a self-signed certificate in the required format, a key database file. Find the key.kdb key database file that comes with the product. Search the temporary directory of the installation files or search in the installation CDs. Copy and paste this file into the following path of your product installation: ManagementServer/IBMHTTPSERVER/(platform)/keys. This file enables connectivity in the product, but is appropriate for controlled environments, not for production environments.
To achieve a level of security for a production environment, contact an administrator of Web servers in your company to find out if the company has third-party certificates or custom-made certificates that you can use for communication in IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Response Time Tracking.
