Before you begin
Before you begin to set up and use the adapter, you should possess a thorough understanding of business integration concepts, the capabilities and requirements of the integration development tools and runtime environment you will use, and the CMIS server environment where you will build and use the solution.
To configure and use WebSphere Adapter for Enterprise Content Management, you should understand and have experience with the following concepts, tools, and tasks:
- The business requirements of the solution you are building.
- Business integration concepts and models, including the Service Component Architecture programming model.
- The capabilities provided by the integration development tools you will use to build the solution. You should know how to use these tools to create modules, test components, and complete other integration tasks.
- The capabilities and requirements of the runtime environment you will use for the integration solution. You should know how to configure and administer the host server and how to use the Process Administrative Console to set and modify property definitions, configure connections, and manage events.
- The CMIS server environment in which you are working. This includes a detailed understanding of the CMIS GUI.
Known Limitations
- To process messages which contain over 50 megabytes of binary data, set the Java™ system property com.ibm.xml.xlxp2.api.util.encoding.DataSourceFactory.bufferLength in the Process Administrative Console, to a value smaller than 64K.
